Panch Badri Yatra Overview
Panch Badri are five abode of Lord Vishnu situated at different location of Garhwal Himalaya, where lord Vishnu worshiped under five different form and names. It is believed that Lord Vishnu mediated at all these places in this Alaknanada river valley.These Panch Badri are Vishal Badri, Adi Badri, Bhavishya Badri, Vridha Badri, Yogdhyan Badri. It is believed, the Parikrama (visit) of these five holy temple give peace and salvation to your soul and mind.
Lord Badrinath is the main temple in Badri Vishal, Badrinath Temple. In addition to the main Badrinath temple, there are four other small shrines where Lord Badrinath is worshiped under five different names. These are collectively called Panch Badri or Five Badris.
